Time Budget for 110-Minute Exam
| Activity | Time Allocation | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Reading instructions | 2 minutes | Do not skip; understand the interface |
| First pass (easy questions) | 50 minutes | ~70 questions at ~45 seconds each |
| Second pass (flagged questions) | 40 minutes | ~30 questions at ~80 seconds each |
| Review and final check | 15 minutes | Review changed answers; ensure all answered |
| Buffer | 3 minutes | Unexpected delays, difficult questions |
Signs of Good Time Management
You are managing your time well if: you complete the first pass with at least 40 minutes remaining; you have answered all 100 questions before the 100-minute mark; and you have time to review at least your flagged questions before the timer expires. If you find yourself spending more than 2 minutes on a single question in the first pass, flag it and move on — you can return to it.
CDMP Exam Relevance
Time management is not tested directly in the CDMP exam, but it significantly affects performance. Candidates who run out of time before answering all questions consistently score lower than their knowledge level would suggest. Practising with timed mock exams (110 minutes for 100 questions) is essential for developing the time management habits needed for exam success.
